A KELTA FIT DANCE FITNESS INSTRUCTOR LOVES WHAT THEY DO AND THE DIFFERENCE THEY MAKE

Being a dance fitness instructor is one of the most rewarding, empowering and flexible careers. A dance fitness instructor has the option of being either employed, usually by a gym or leisure centre, or self-employed, usually controlling where their classes take place for example in a local community hall.  An instructor can decide to do this either exclusively or do a bit of both, part-time or full time, and this is the same if you choose to be a Kelta Fit dance fitness instructor.

A dance fitness instructor’s working week flies by; teaching fun and inspiring classes to a wide range of people and witnessing the true magic dance and exercise can have on people every day. Kelta Fit dance fitness instructors see this even more as they offer one of the most social and fun filled styles available – highland dance (of course!). We like to say our instructors help us spread the high of the highlands!

THE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

There are many opportunities available if you decide to become a Kelta Fit dance fitness instructor. These include:

  • Becoming a Kelta Fit Ambassador – We are always on the lookout for experienced and enthusiastic instructors to join our team. Kelta Fit Ambassadors deliver our national events, choreograph new routines, set up new classes, represent Kelta Fit for relevant PR/media opportunities and help us recruit and train other instructors. If you would like to become a Kelta Fit Ambassador please fill in the form.
  • Teaching regular Kelta Fit sessions – As we mentioned before, a Kelta Fit licensed dance fitness instructor has the option to set up classes at their local gym, leisure centre, community hall, dance studio – wherever there is room to move! Instructors either get paid an hourly rate (if they are employed) or can charge their participants a fee (if they are self-employed).
  • Running your own Kelta Fit events – As Kelta Fit is inspired by the great Ceilidh Club, it works perfectly as an event. Classes can be scaled up into mass participation events such as a Kelta fit Danceathon (hours of dancing to raise money for a charity), party or even a Kelta Fit flash mob. It’s a great way to get the community together.
  • Teaching Kelta Fit to younger people – Taking our Kelta Fit Kids Course allows you to teach Kelta Fit in primary and secondary schools. Sessions can be delivered to compliment curriculum subjects (PE, dance, history) or as extra curriculum activities such as after school clubs. Both qualified exercise to music instructors and primary/secondary school teachers can take this course.
  • Setting up Kelta Fit community projects – You could make a massive difference in your community by becoming a Kelta Fit licensed dance fitness instructor. Many instructors work independently or in partnership with local charities, councils and other organisations to set up projects targeted at bringing the benefits of exercise to specific or mixed groups. These groups could be older adults, mental health, disabled people, disadvantaged areas, children, young people and vulnerable adults and people with BAME backgrounds.
