Kelta Fit is the brainchild of Ed McCabe. Before the days of Kelta Fit, Ed set up the popular Ceilidh Club after studying for a Master in Marketing and working for British Airways. The Ceilidh Club is a fun filled evening of traditional Scottish music and dance that attracts hundreds of people every month with events taking place in London. The Club centres on giving the best three hours of entertainment in London by providing a live band and a caller who lets you know what to do. Many club goers love the combination of exercise, movement and dance. In 2014 he teamed up with Ali Barnes who is the manager and performer in London’s leading ceilidh band, Licence to Ceilidh. Ali’s background in dance and music was the perfect combination to create the Kelta Fit video. Ali’s husband, Philippe arranged the music for the video. (Why not go behind the scenes of production, here.)
The video was then developed into classes by Cat Perry who runs Dance Division in Edinburgh and the teaching classes were accredited by REPs (for the adult class) and EMD UK for the children’s classes.
